Ali and I (Emily Grace) are in a class called "The Biblical Theology of Womanhood" and we started this blog as a class project. In our posts we will pick one theme regarding women seen in Scripture and write a post, tracing the theme in the Bible and then applying the theme to womanhood and women’s ministry in the local church.
Since them I (Emily Grace) have taken over and altered this blog as a spin off of a journal and a place to share my thoughts.
Ezer is a Hebrew word found in Genesis 2:18 when God is making a "helper fit for" man. As we know, this "helper" is Eve, the first woman. In the original Hebrew this word has meanings two . One being 'to rescue' and another 'to save and to be strong'. As Christians, and especially as women, it is important to know these meanings because this is the reason for which God originally created women. Knowing this should shape how we as women view our roles and responsibilities within out everyday lives.
